Jugar al juego del negocio musical

La celebración de la música continúa en FIMPRO, y las actividades en las que participan miembros de esta industria internacional han convocado a emprendedores en la escena que buscan enriquecer su experiencia en el negocio musical. Este 26 de mayo se entabló una charla acerca de un elemento fundamental en el logro de un producto musical que trascienda fronteras por medio del trabajo especializado, como esfuerzo de un equipo: las grandes empresas de producción y disqueras.
El foro se tituló “Independientes y Majors: un diálogo necesario”, y contó con la participación del experto en la industria musical digital, Juan Camilo Paz, presentado por Juan Carlos Hidalgo de la Revista Marvin. Juan Camilo, el actual manager de proyectos con raíces latinoamericanas que están emergiendo a la escena internacional, Bomba Estéreo y Monsieur Periné, destacó la relación vital entre la tecnología digital en el negocio musical. Con una formación en Administración de Empresas, una maestría en Negocios Musicales, y años de formación como gestor, productor y músico, el colombiano Camilo Paz mencionó la importancia del respaldo de un equipo de producción en la consolidación de un proyecto musical. Asimismo, desmintió los estereotipos y tabús presentes en el ámbito de las grandes disqueras, como la sobreexplotación de las bandas por parte de estas grandes empresas. Pues, según su perspectiva, la industria musical es un juego en el cual es necesario negociar para lograr destacar, de forma que no es suficiente tener pasión al arte, sino también contar con una estrategia sólida.
Juan Camilo logró cautivar a los asistentes al foro con su gran carisma, y sobre todo, al mostrar la armonía que debe existir entre el amor a la música y la negociación tan necesaria para subsistir en el medio.
